Facebook has more user data being leaked. 81,000 user’s private messages have been posted, and a further 176,000 accounts displaying personal information were also released.

“Based on our investigation so far, we believe this information was obtained through malicious browser extensions installed off of Facebook,”  ~Goy Rosen, Facebook’s vice president of product management.

Facebook is stating that it is from “malicious browser extensions”. They even posted a help page on how to remove the browser extensions.

But the true way to check if you were included would be to check out a website that searches for your email on all data breaches. One common one would be haveibeenpwned.com. These websites scan a large database of compromised emails, including what was compromised.
